Active Setup only downloads the files required to install on the current
computer with its current configuration. This reduces the length of time it
takes to download Outlook. These files are machine and configuration
specific, and are separate from the cabinet files that Outlook uses for
installation.
If you originally installed Outlook by downloading it from the Internet,
any subsequent time you attempt to run Setup, you are prompted to re-
download files from the same Internet location.
If you need to reinstall Outlook but you do not have the CD, you must call Microsoft Outlook Product Support at (425) 635-7031 for information. Developers or administrators wanting to create a custom installation of Outlook should use the Outlook Deployment Kit.
