When viewing File Types, some Microsoft Outlook 98 functions may specify "Opens with: PROGRAM" rather than "Opens with: OUTLOOK."
This has no effect on the operation of Outlook.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. On the Desktop, double-click My Computer.
2. On the View menu, click Options.
3. On the Options dialog box, click the File Types tab.
4. Scroll through the Registered file types and click to select one
of the Outlook file types such as Outlook Item.
RESULT: In the "File type details" area, the entry for "Opens with:" may
read "PROGRAM" rather than "OUTLOOK."
