SUMMARY
When you create a custom form in Microsoft Outlook 98, you can protect your
form from changes by other users. The simplest way to accomplish this is by
assigning a password to the form.
MORE INFORMATION
To assign a password to your form, follow these steps:
- Open the form you want to customize.
- On the Tools menu, point to Forms and click Design This Form.
- In design mode, click the Properties page and click to select Protect
Form Design.
- In the Password box, enter a password. Enter the same password again in
the Confirm box, and then click OK.
When the design of your form is complete publish your form by doing the
following:
- On the Tools menu, point to Forms and click Publish Form As.
- Set the "Look in" box to the appropriate folder or forms
library.
- Enter a name for your form in the Display name box.
- Click Publish.
- On the File menu, click Close and if prompted, do not save
changes to the item.
If anyone attempts to switch to design mode while in the form, they
will be prompted to enter the password. The correct password must be typed
to make changes.
