This article describes how to reset Microsoft Outlook 98 to First-Run
status to enable the "Welcome to Microsoft Outlook" greeting.
The article also describes how to have Outlook re-create sample welcome
items, such as the welcome message, note, contact, appointment, and journal
entry, and prompt you to use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall Windows 95. Microsoft cannot guarantee that
problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved.
Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

should make a backup copy of the registry files (System.dat and User.dat)
before you edit the registry.
To reset Outlook to First-Run status, follow these steps:
