OL98: Invalid Page Fault Using Find in Outlook Today

SYMPTOMS

You are using the Outlook Today, Find Feature in Microsoft Outlook 98 to search for a specific Contact or Task and you receive the following error message:

Outlook Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module Outllib.dll

Outlook Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module Kernel32.dll


CAUSE

The information in the Contact or Task form is damaged.


RESOLUTION

Re-create the damaged Outlook item. To recreate the item, follow these steps:

  1. In the Folder List click the Contacts folder and manually locate the Contact or Task which is causing the error.


  2. Note the information on the Contact form.


  3. Right-click the item and on the shortcut menu, click Delete.


  4. On the File menu, click New and then Contact or Task.


  5. Type the information for the contact and then click Save and Close.
