OL98: Modifying an Item with an Attachment Causes Invalid Parameter Error When PostedID: Q230271

When changing a posted discussion item and reposting it using the Revise Contents command, you receive this error message:
When you click Cancel, the original message is deleted.Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.
Using the Revise Contents command creates a new message object and copies the original data into this object. Posting this new message causes the problem.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem.
