The maximum number of groups you can have on the Microsoft Outlook 98 Outlook Bar is 12.
By default, Outlook has three groups on the Outlook Bar, Outlook Shortcuts, My Shortcuts, and Other Shortcuts. Each group contains shortcuts to specific items. For example, My Shortcuts has shortcuts to your Inbox, Outbox, the Drafts folder, the Sent Items folder, and the Deleted Items folder. You can add an additional nine groups without removing any of the default groups.
To add a group to the Outlook Bar, right-click the background on the Outlook Bar and then click Add New Group on the shortcut menu. Type a name for the group, and then press ENTER.
To rename a group on the Outlook Bar, right-click the group you want to rename on the Outlook Bar, and then click Rename Group on the shortcut menu. Type a name for the group, and then press ENTER.
To remove a group from the Outlook Bar, right-click the group you want to remove on the Outlook Bar, and then click Remove Group on the shortcut menu.
