When you use Microsoft Outlook 98 and select the "Mark my comments with" option and then reply to or forward a message in Microsoft Outlook Rich Text format, making annotations in the original text, your name or the text you specified to mark your comments with, appears in brackets before each letter that you type.
You pressed the INSERT key before typing your comments.
Use one of the following workarounds:
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 98.
1. On the Tools menu, click options.
2. On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options.
3. Click to select "Mark my comments with," and type YourName in the box.
4. Click OK twice to close the Options.
5. Select a message and click Reply. The message must be formatted using
Microsoft Outlook Rich Text.
6. Click the insertion point into the original message text, press INSERT
and type "I'm replying to your message." The results appear below.
