OL98: Modifying Recurring Appointment Removes Category

SYMPTOMS

If you set up a recurring appointment that contains a category and then modify one occurrence of the appointment, the category is removed from the modified occurrence, and cannot be added back to the appointment. The category remains for the other recurring appointments.

RESOLUTION

Delete the single occurrence that you want to change, and then create a new appointment for that instance. This will segregate the recurring series of appointments from the modified occurrence. You can then add and remove categories independently for the single appointment and for the series of appointments.

To delete one occurrence of a recurring series of appointments, follow these steps.

1. In the Calendar, click to select one of the recurring appointments, and then press DELETE.



2. When prompted, click to delete only this occurrence.
