When replying to a message, Microsoft Outlook may strip prefixes followed by a colon out of the Subject line.
To prevent Outlook from stripping the prefix from the Subject line, edit the message; remove the colon after the prefix, and then click Reply.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
Outlook may strip prefixes consisting of three or fewer characters followed
by a colon (such as RE:, FWD:, NET:, X:, and so on) from a reply if you
receive the message through the Internet Mail Only (IMO) installation of
Outlook. This may also happen if you receive the message through the
Internet E-mail service of a Corporate/Workgroup (CW) installation of
Outlook.
Regardless of the Outlook installation mode, any Outlook generated prefix
followed by a colon may be stripped from a reply, such as the following:
Accept:
Reject:
Out of Office AutoReply:
