When you save a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation as a PowerPoint add-in (PPA), you may receive the following error.
Even when the Active X controls are deleted from the appropriate slide(s), you will still receive this error message saving in PPA format.PowerPoint can't save this file as an add-in because it contains Active X controls.
If the Active X controls are deleted, references to these controls are remain in the PowerPoint slide.
To save in the PPA format, all Active X controls must be deleted. Each slide that has contained an Active X control must also be deleted, and then recreated. You can copy all of the other objects onto a new slide, then delete the original. To do this, follow these steps:
