PPT97: Clicking Slide Miniature Doesn't Toggle B/W View

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft PowerPoint 97, the Slide Miniature does not toggle between Color and Black and White views when you click it. This functionality is different from Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows 95, version 7.0, where clicking the Slide Miniature toggles between Color and Black and White views.

CAUSE

In PowerPoint 97, clicking the Slide Miniature gives you a miniature preview of that slide's animation effects (if any).

RESOLUTION

To switch between Color view and Black and White view, right-click the Slide Miniature, and then click a view on the menu that appears.
