The information in this article applies to:
If you view a Slide Show that is configured to be browsed by an individual in a window and then switch to a full-screen show, it does not quit correctly.
If you press ESC or click End Show on the Slide Show menu, the Slide Show does not end. Instead, it switches back to being a browsed show. You have to end the Slide Show again to quit it correctly.
When you run a browsed slide show and then switch to a full-screen show, PowerPoint starts a second copy of that Slide Show. You can press the ALT+TAB keys on your keyboard to switch back and forth between the two shows.
Once you have created these two instances of the Slide Show, you have to end each instance separately.

1. On the Slide Show menu, click Set Up Show.
2. In the Set Up Show dialog box, click Browsed By An Individual (Window).
3. Click OK.
4. On the Slide Show menu, click View Show or click the Slide Show button
at the bottom of the screen.
Instead of filling the whole screen, the Slide Show plays in a big window.
1. With your right mouse button, click the Slide Show window.
2. Click Full Screen on the menu that appears.
