When using the Connector tool with certain drawing objects in PowerPoint 97, a visible gap can be seen between the end of the connector and the object. This appears mostly with lines and grouped objects containing drawn lines.
To work around this problem, resize the drawing object independently of the grid by holding down the ALT key and dragging the connector. You can then move the end of the connector to remove the gap.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
