In Microsoft Word for Windows, if you use TrueType fonts with small point sizes in a table, the text may appear to have superscript formatting. This problem occurs with certain printer fonts and point sizes smaller than 10 points.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. This problem was corrected in Word version 6.0 for Windows.

To work around this problem, use the following steps:
1. Select the text that appears to have superscript formatting.
2. From the Format menu, choose Paragraph.
3. In the Line Spacing box, change the setting from Auto to Single.
