MORE INFORMATION

In Microsoft Word 2000, most features appear on the menus even when the feature is not installed. This function allows you to see that a feature is available but allows the initial installation of Word to be completed more quickly than it would if all the features were installed during Word Setup.

When you first click on such a feature, Word prompts you with a message similar to the following:

This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
