WD2000: Error Message When Copying/Pasting from Expedia Streets and Trips

SYMPTOMS

When you copy and paste directions of a route planned in Microsoft Expedia Streets and Trips 2000 into a Word 2000 document, the following error message appears:

A table in this document has become corrupted. To recover the content of the table: select the table and choose Convert Table To Text from the Table menu.
When you click OK, Word stops responding (hangs).


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem when you paste the information into Word 2000, do the following steps:

  1. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.


  2. In the Paste Special dialog box, click to select Unformatted text and then click OK.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
