In Microsoft Outlook 2000 you have turned on Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages

In Word you use the WordBasic.ToolsSpelling command in Visual Basic for Applications

the following message does not appear upon completion of the spelling check:

The spelling check is complete.
