WD2000: Nothing Happens Converting Microsoft Graph 2000 Icon to ChartID: Q220447
|
When you try to convert a Microsoft Graph 2000 icon to a Microsoft Graph 2000 Chart (right-click the Microsoft Graph 2000 icon, point to Chart Object and then click Convert), nothing happens and the chart data does not appear.
Microsoft Graph 2000 is not installed on the system.
NOTE: Microsoft Graph 2000 is installed by default when you perform an Install Now installation.
Install Microsoft Graph 2000, using one of the following methods:
After the installation of Microsoft Graph 2000 is complete, Microsoft Graph 2000 will open the selected graph. Close Microsoft Graph 2000 and do the following steps:Microsoft Word can't start the application required to open this object. This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
Microsoft Office 2000 setup completed successfully.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
Even if Microsoft Graph 2000 was not installed during Setup, Microsoft Graph 2000 Chart still appears on the Object type list. Microsoft Office 2000 (Microsoft Word 2000) "advertises" features that are not installed.
NOTE: To view the Object type list, click Object on the Insert menu. The Object type list appears on the Create New tab.
The advertising of a feature means that the feature name appears on a menu where you would normally find the feature. When you first click on an advertised feature, Word prompts you with a message similar to the following:
This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
