WD2000: Format Object Wrapping Styles Unavailable When Recording Macro

SYMPTOMS

When you record a macro, you cannot use the Format Object dialog box to change the wrapping style (layout property) of a shape from its present selection to any other style.

NOTE: The wrapping styles are unavailable to select.

Use one of the following methods to convert an object's wrapping style to "In line with text" or to a floating object.

Method 1: Convert the first floating shape to an inline shape.


   ActiveDocument.Shapes(1).ConvertToInlineShape
For more information about the ConvertToInlineShape method, in the Visual Basic Editor, click Microsoft Visual Basic Help on the Help menu, type ConvertToInlineShape in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topic.

Method 2: Convert the first inline shape to a floating shape.


   ActiveDocument.InlineShapes(1).ConvertToShape
NOTE: By default, the object floats with a "Top and bottom" advanced layout wrapping style.
