WD2000: Picture Bullets Missing When Word Document Opened In Netscape Messenger

SYMPTOMS

When you open a Word document sent as an e-mail message in Netscape Messenger (Netscape Communicator 4.5), picture bullets do not appear.

NOTE: The picture bullets are retained as a separate graphic file contained in the e-mail message.


WORKAROUND

Send your Word document containing the picture bullets as an attachment to the e-mail message. When the Netscape Messenger recipient opens the message, the recipient can open the Word document attachment, and the picture bullets will appear correctly.

To send your Word document as an attachment, point to Send To on the File menu, and then click Mail Recipient (as Attachment). If Mail Recipient (as Attachment) does not appear on the Send to menu, do the following and try again.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.


  2. On the General tab, click to select the Mail as attachment check box.


  3. Click OK.
