WD2000: Run-time Error '5825' Using Selection.Bookmarks(x).Name

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to return the name of a selected bookmark using the Visual Basic for Applications Selection.Bookmarks(x).Name command (where x is a numerical index to the bookmark), and the bookmark is set within a frames page (on the Format menu, click Frames), the following error message appears:

Run-time error '5825'
Object has been deleted.

To work around this problem, you can use the following Visual Basic for Applications example command in place of the Selection.Bookmarks(x).Name command: 

ActiveDocument.Bookmarks(Selection.BookMarkID).Name


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
