WD2000: Table Border Lost or Changed After Save As WordPerfect 5.1 for DOSID: Q220476
|
When you open a Word 2000 document that was saved as WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS (*.doc), table borders either are lost or are changed to something different.
Take for example a table in a Word 2000 document that has a Box border applied (the cells of the table are not bordered, just the outside edges of the table). After you save as WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS and reopen the document, the outside borders of the table are lost; however, the individual table cells are now bordered.
After you open the document that was saved as WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS, reapply the table borders before (or after) you resave the file as a Word document.
