WD97: Continuous Section Break with Footnotes Causes Page Break

SYMPTOMS

When you insert a continuous section break between two footnotes formatted to show at the bottom of the page, the page will incorrectly break at the first footnote reference number below the section break.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, convert the footnotes to appear at the end of the document. To do this, use the following procedure:

1. On the Insert menu, click Footnote, and then click Options.

2. Click Convert and make sure that "Convert all footnotes to

   endnotes" is selected.

3. Click OK twice.

4. Click Close in the Footnote and Endnote dialog box.
