-
Microsoft Word 97 for Windows
SUMMARY
Microsoft Word does not directly support conversion to or from Adobe
Portable Document Format (PDF). PDF is the format in which documents are
saved for viewing and exchange via Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Exchange for
Macintosh and Windows.
MORE INFORMATION
To convert data from Adobe Acrobat 2.0 and 2.1 to Word, follow these
steps:
- Open your PDF document into Acrobat Reader for the Macintosh or Acrobat
Reader for Windows.
- Select the content of the current screen image that you want to use in
Word, and click Copy on the Edit menu to copy the content to the
Clipboard.
- In Word, click Paste on the Edit menu.
Text pasted from Acrobat retains its character level formatting (fonts,
bold, italic, underline, color, and so on). Text does not retain graphics,
paragraph formatting, and other formatting when copied to the Clipboard.
If security in a particular PDF file has been set to not allow selection of
text, the contents of the PDF document cannot be copied to the Clipboard
for use in Word.
Adobe Exchange is manufactured by Adobe Systems, a vendor independent of
Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this
product's performance or reliability.
