BUG: OLE DB Provider for ODBC Allocates 64K Hash Table for Server-Side CursorID: Q203726
|
When you use server-side Keyset cursors with the OLE DB Provider for ODBC shipping with MDAC 2.0, a hash table is created, which is used to hold bookmarks for each row in the rowset, and the provider allocates 64K to the table by default.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next MDAC 2.0 Service Pack 1 available with Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4, or upgrade to the MDAC 2.1 components
that contains this fix.
To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services
to obtain the fix. For a complete list of Microsoft Product Support Services
