The information in this article applies to:
If you use some of the arguments with the GetSaveAsFileName method in a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications Sub procedure to change the default values in the resulting Save As dialog box, the default values are not changed.
This behavior may occur when you use the FileFilter, Title, or ButtonText arguments with the GetSaveAsFileName method.
NOTE: Microsoft Excel Help contains an example of the GetSaveAsFilename method using the FileFilter argument. This example is incorrect.
To resolve this problem, do not use the FileFilter, Title, or ButtonText arguments of the GetSaveAsFileName method.
This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98.

The following sample code uses the InitialFilename argument to modify the
default file name in the Save As dialog box that is displayed:
Sub Test()
Application.GetSaveAsFilename InitialFilename := "MyFile"
End Sub
However, when you use the FileFilter argument, the default file type is not
modified by the argument, as in the following sample code:
Sub Test2()
Application.GetSaveAsFilename FileFilter := "TEXT"
End Sub
