BUG: Option Explicit Statement is Not Added by WebClass Designer

Microsoft Visual Basic Professional and Enterprise Editions for Windows, version 6.0

SYMPTOMS

Option Explicit statement is not added by default to code if you select the menu item "Project," and then select "add WebClass."

RESOLUTION

Add the Option Explicit statement directly or, from the Tools menu, select Options, select the Editor tab, and then set the option "Require Variable Declaration."

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

Option Explicit is added by default to code by going to the File menu, choosing New Project, and then choosing IIS Application.
