BUG: Misinformation in "PageObject Script Object" Help TopicID: Q190765
|
The second paragraph of the Remarks section of the "PageObject Script Object" topic in the Visual InterDev Documentation states:
"The PageObject design-time control supports additional properties that you can define on the Properties tab of the PageObject Property Pages dialog box. Each defined property can be referenced by thisPage.property."This information is incorrect. Defined properties cannot be referenced by thisPage.property.
Defined properties can only be referenced through the getProperty and setProperty methods of the PageObject.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
For example, to set a property named "MyProp" (javascript):
thisPage.setMyProp("desiredValue");
To retrieve the value of a property named "MyProp" (javascript):
myVar = thisPage.getMyProp();
