BUG: WalletAddress and WalletPayment Fail to LoadID: Q190678
|
When inserting a WalletAddress or WalletPayment control from the Toolbox into an HTML or Active Server Pages (ASP) page, the following message box appears:
The control is not shown graphically in either Source view or Design view."An object has failed to load. The object will be displayed as text."
The WalletAddress and WalletPayment controls have not been installed on
your machine.
Internet Explorer 4.x supports three installation modes: Minimum, Standard,
and Full. If you installed the Minimum installation of Internet Explorer
4.01 prior to installing Visual InterDev, the WalletAddress and
WalletPayment controls will not be installed.
If you have not installed Internet Explorer 4.01 prior to installing Visual
InterDev, Internet Explorer 4.01 along with the WalletAddress and
WalletPayment controls will be installed for you as part of the Visual
InterDev installation.
If you have already installed Visual InterDev and encounter this issue, you
can install the WalletAddress and WalletPayment controls from the same
location that you installed Internet Explorer 4.x.
Optionally, you can create a page that contains the correct <object> tag
for either the WalletAddress or WalletPayment control, and then browse that
page in Internet Explorer, which will recognize that the control has not
been installed and will automatically install it for you at that time. For
example:
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Although the control may not be shown graphically in the editor, the
<OBJECT> tag that represents the control is correct.
