PRB: IntelliSense for Java Components Does Not Work

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When adding server-side script to an Active Server Pages (ASP) page, the IntelliSense Statement Completion functionality does not work for Java objects registered as COM components using javareg.


CAUSE

The IntelliSense Statement Completion functionality only works when a type library is available.


RESOLUTION

Use the /typelib argument of the javareg command.


STATUS

This behavior is by design.
