PRB: Visual InterDev Does Not Support Multiple Language VersionsID: Q194019
|
As a Visual InterDev developer, you have the ability to install multiple languages and switch to them using International Settings (click Options from the Tools menu). In some areas of Visual InterDev, the strings will be in the language that was last installed. Let's say, for example, you install the German version and then the French version. After installing the French version, you switch the International Settings to German. In some areas, the strings will still be in French.
Visual InterDev does not support the installation of multiple language versions.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor
can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And
Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete
Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in
Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.
If you are running Windows NT, you should also update your Emergency Repair
Disk (ERD).
You'll have to uninstall the last version of Visual InterDev that you
installed and then reinstall the desired language version. Follow these
steps to do this:
This behavior is by design.
