The information in this article applies to:
A mirror image of the previous "New Menu" occurs if command(s) are not added to the existing New Menu item.
After creating a New Menu item, ensure that at least one command(s) is added to it before adding another New Menu item.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
1. On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Commands tab.
2. In the Category list, select New Menu.
3. Drag and drop the New Menu item from the Command list box to an empty
spot in the toolbar docking area.
A disabled menu "Custom Menu 1" will appear.
4. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
Another menu called "Custom Menu 1" will be created.
