Connecting to Schedule+ 1.0 Calendar File Drops ConnectionsID: Q136303
|
If two people connect to the same Schedule+ version 1.0 calendar file on a Novell NetWare server, the second connection may cause the first connection to be dropped.
This problem can occur when you use Schedule+ 1.0 on a Windows 95-based
workstation to connect to a calendar file on a Novell NetWare 3.1x server.
The Microsoft NetWare redirector (Nwredir.vxd) locks improper byte ranges
of Schedule+ 1.0 calendar files. When a second person connects to the
calendar file, the first connection can be dropped.
This issue is resolved by the following updated file(s) for Windows 95, and later versions of these file(s):
NWREDIR.VXD version 4.00.502 dated 8/28/95 123,963 bytes
NWREDIR.VXD version 4.00.969 dated 7/30/96 174,618 bytes
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95. An
update to address this problem is now available, but is not fully
regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing
this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific
problem, Microsoft does not recommend implementing this update at this
time. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for additional information about
the availability of this update.
This issue is resolved in Microsoft Windows 98.
