Aztech 2316 Sound Card Incorrectly Detected as SoundBlaster Pro

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Add New Hardware Wizard to detect your Aztech 2316 sound card, it may be incorrectly detected as a SoundBlaster Pro sound card.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use Device Manager to correctly install your Aztech 2316 sound card:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.


  2. Click the Device Manager tab, double-click Sound, video and game controllers, and then double-click Sound Blaster Pro.


  3. Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then click Next.


  4. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, and then click Next.


  5. Click Show all hardware, click Aztech Labs, click Aztech 2316 Compatible Legacy Audio (WDM), click Next, and then click Finish.


  6. Restart your computer
