Cannot Apply Folder Customization Globally

SYMPTOMS

When you customize a folder and then attempt to apply the same customization globally for all folders, all of the customization options applied to the original folder may not be applied globally to all folders.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, customize each folder's background wallpaper and sorting options separately.

This behavior is by design.

When you customize a folder to display background wallpaper or sorting options, apply the changes, click Folder Options on the View menu, click the View tab, and then click Like Current Folder, the customization of the original folder may not be applied globally to your other folders.

If a you change a folder view by clicking Customize This Folder on the View menu, open another folder, click As Web Page on the View menu, click Folder Options on the View menu, click the View tab, and then click Like Current Folder, the change may not be applied to folders with settings that have been modified with the Customize This Folder command.
