Cannot Create Windows 98 Startup Disk

SYMPTOMS

When you press the ENTER key on the Startup Disk tab in the Add/Remove Programs tool to create a Windows 98 Startup disk, the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box may close.

RESOLUTION

To create a Windows 98 Startup disk, use either of the following methods on the Startup Disk tab in the Add/Remove Programs tool:

Press ALT+C

Click Create Disk

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows 98. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
