Cannot Insert the Euro Symbol into a DocumentID: Q186169
|
When you are using a TrueType font that includes the euro symbol (a "C" with two horizontal lines through the center), nothing may happen when you attempt to insert the euro symbol into a document.
This problem can occur if you press CTRL+2 to insert the euro symbol into the document.
To work around this problem, press ALT+0128 to insert the euro symbol
into the document.
NOTE: If you try to use the number keys on the main part of the keyboard (instead of the numeric keypad), the euro symbol is not inserted. You must use the numeric keypad.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98.
Character Map incorrectly states that CTRL+2 is the key combination for the euro symbol.
