Cannot Mount Compressed Drive Located on a CD-ROMID: Q149536
|
You experience one or more of the following symptoms when you attempt to
mount a compressed drive located on a CD-ROM:
The volume file <drive>:DRVSPACE.<nnn> cannot be found.where <drive> is the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive, and <nnn> is a number in the range 000-254 (this is the sequence number of the CVF).
The DriveSpace tool does not support the CD-ROM File System (CDFS). The File Allocation Table (FAT) and Virtual File Allocation Table (VFAT) file systems are the only file systems supported by DriveSpace.
To mount the compressed drive located on the CD-ROM, copy the CVF to the hard disk and then use DriveSpace to mount the compressed drive from the hard disk.
