Cannot Start Microsoft System Information Tool

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start the Microsoft System Information tool (Msinfo32.exe), nothing may happen.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Windows Guardian is loaded by CyberMedia First Aid 95 or First Aid 95 Deluxe.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain an update for First Aid 95 from the following CyberMedia Web site:

http://www.cybermedia.com/products/firstaid/update.html
Or, you can upgrade to a later version of First Aid to resolve the issue.

To work around this issue, do not load Windows Guardian.
