Cannot View the Contents of a Drive Mapped to a Novell Server

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use My Computer or Windows Explorer to view the contents of a drive mapped to a Novell server, a window may be opened, but the contents of the drive may not be displayed.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the network is currently unavailable.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98.

MORE INFORMATION

When you attempt to view the contents of a mapped network drive in Microsoft Windows 95 when the network is unavailable, you should receive an error message.
