CD-ROM Drive May Be Unavailable After Resuming from Standby ModeID: Q188203
|
After you resume your Toshiba Protege 300-series computer from Standby mode, you may be unable to gain access to your integrated drive electronics (IDE) CD-ROM drive, and Device Manger may display "Code 12" for your CD-ROM drive.
This behavior can occur if you resume your computer from Standby mode twice in the same session.
To work around this behavior, restart your computer.
The IDE controller normally uses interrupt request (IRQ) 15, but when you
resume your computer a second time, IRQ 15 is used by "Unknown Device."
