Closing Internet Explorer Parent Window Stops File DownloadID: Q187395
|
If you close Microsoft Internet Explorer's parent window (the first instance of Internet Explorer when you are running multiple instances of Internet Explorer) while you are trying to download a .avi, .wav, .mov or .mpg file, the file download may stop.
To work around this problem, do not close the parent window while downloading files of these types.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98.
