Computer Hangs When Booting After Installing FAT32 File SystemID: Q156329

After you install the FAT32 file system on a hard disk connected to an Adaptec 2940 or 3940 SCSI controller with a ROM BIOS version prior to 1.23, the computer may stop responding (hang) when you start Windows.
The SCSI ROM BIOS does not fully implement interrupt 13 extensions, which
causes Io.sys to hang when booting.
To resolve this problem, use one of the following options:
This problem occurs only if the FAT32 file system is installed on the
boot drive.
