DEC EtherWorks III Model PNP80f0 Not Detected by Windows

SYMPTOMS

When you install a DEC EtherWorks III network adapter model PNP80f0, the Windows hardware detection process may not detect it.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the DEC PNP80f0 network adapter is not a Plug and Play network adapter. It does not conform to the specification of the Plug and Play detection module, although it has "PNP" in the model name.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the DEC installation software included with the network adapter to correctly install and configure the network adapter.
