When you start Windows 98, a dialog box containing no text may appear.
This issue can occur if you use a Compaq Presario computer, and the
following lines are present in the [Drivers] section of the System.ini
file:
wave1=<path>\tamaudio.drv
mixer1=<path>\tamaudio.drv
To resolve this behavior, edit the System.ini file and disable the line
that refers to the audio drivers. To do this, follow these steps:
Unimodem V is used in conjunction with phone messaging tools designed for VoiceView modems. The Tamaudio.drv file is a part of Unimodem V for Windows 95.
