When you upgrade Windows 95 to Windows 98, you may receive the following
error message during the Scandisk portion of Windows 98 Setup:
Setup cannot check your hard disks for errors because there is not enough conventional memory available, free more conventional memory and rerun setup.
This error message can occur if there is not enough free conventional memory to run ScanDisk.
To resolve this behavior, increase the amount of free conventional memory,
and then run Windows 98 Setup again. To increase the amount of free
conventional memory, use either or both of the following methods:

device=c:\windows\emm386.exe noems
dos=high,umb
