While you are installing Windows 98, you may receive the following error
message during the ScanDisk portion of Setup:
Setup checked the hard disks on your computer and found that there may be problems. You need to check all of your drives before continuing setup.
This behavior can occur if you are using a real-mode Novell NetWare client, and there is not enough free conventional memory to continue with Windows 98 Setup.
To resolve this behavior, use either or both of the following methods:
device=c:\windows\himem.sys
device=c:\windows\emm386.exe noems
dos=high,umb

If you run ScanDisk for MS-DOS or ScanDisk for Windows 95, you do not receive the error message.
