Error Message: Unable to Create DirectoryID: Q179948
|
When you start your computer to a command prompt and then try to create a
new folder that contains more than 67 characters, you may receive the
following error message:
Unable to create directory
Invalid directory
This behavior occurs because Windows 95 and Windows 98 adheres to the MS- DOS path limit of 67 characters when you start your computer to a command prompt.
To work around this issue, start your computer normally, and then create or view folders.
