For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.

To back up your channel subscriptions, use Registry Editor to export the following registry keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NotificationMgr

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Taskman

For information about how to export a registry key, click Help Topics on the Help menu in Registry Editor, click the Index tab, type exporting, click Exporting The Registry, and then click Display.

To import the .reg file back into the registry, double-click it. For additional information about how to import a registry file, click Help Topics on the Help menu in Registry Editor, click the Index tab, type importing, click Importing The Registry, and then click Display.
